What’s in my camera bag?

What’s in my camera bag?

Sony α7R III 35mm full-frame camera with autofocus (ILCE-7RM3)

My first camera and now my second camera at events or used for video, the The Sony Alpha A7R III Body (E-Mount) is a very fast 42.4 megapixel full-frame camera with accurate and fast AF performance, 10 fps and a remarkable dynamic range. The camera combines resolution and speed. The full-frame 42.4MP Exmor R BSI CMOS sensor and a new BIONZ X image processor enable impressive 10fps continuous shooting, along with enhanced auto focus performance for faster, more reliable tracking of subjects as well as wide image coverage.

Sony α7R IV 35mm full-frame camera with 61.0MP (ILCE-7RM4)

My main camera, The Sony a7R IV is the company’s fourth generation, high-resolution full-frame mirrorless camera and is built around a BSI-CMOS sensor that outputs 60.2MP images. Relative to previous generations, it promises more robust build quality, refined controls, the company’s latest autofocus implementation, and more.

Despite its high resolution, it can shoot at up to 10 frames per second with full autofocus and shoot 4K video either from the full width of its sensor or from an APS-C/Super 35 crop. It also gains a 16-shot high-resolution mode that can be used to generate 240MP images of static scenes.

My favourite lens for sports, the FE 70-200mm f2.8 G Master is Sony’s professional large aperture telephoto zoom lens for their Alpha mirrorless cameras. As such it is one of the most important lenses in their line-up and highly desirable to portrait and wedding photographers, as well as anyone shooting close-range sports or wildlife. Sony equipped its lens well: optical image stabilization, tripod collar, focus limiter, focus-hold buttons and compatibility with Sony’s 1.4x and 2.0x teleconverters. Plus there’s fluorine coating on the front lens and thorough weather-sealing. The lens focuses closer than one meter and can achieve a very useful maximum magnification of 1:3.6. Its optical performance is still the best you can get for your Sony Alpha mirrorless camera in this focal range.

I never leave home without it!
Whether it’s macro shoots, portrait corporate shoots or some landscape photography this lens does it all.
The first E-mount medium telephoto macro lens with built-in image stabilization delivers outstanding G Lens quality: stunning resolution at up to 1:1 magnification plus gorgeous background bokeh when required, even when shooting handheld. A floating focus mechanism ensures that consistently superior optical performance is achieved at all focusing distances.
